Sanctuary Spa: Coronavirus COVID-19 Response
Sabrina • Mar 15, 2020

The health and wellness of our guests and team is always our top priority at Sanctuary Spa. Our daily sanitation practices are in place to ensure safety with or without the threat of a virus. However, in the upcoming days and weeks we intend to take extra measures to ensure a safe environment and wanted to provide an update on all we plan to do. Specific to the virus, we are following the World Health Organization and CDC for updates and directives, we urge you to do the same.

We appreciate if you have felt ill within the past 14 days or been in contact with someone who hasn’t been well, that you reschedule for a later date. For the safety of our other guests and our spa team, we ask that if you have traveled in the 14 days prior to your upcoming appointment or come in contact with someone who has traveled in the past 14 days, that you also consider reschedule for a later date.

Our therapists work on commissions. We appreciate your consideration in letting us know as quickly as possible whether you will be able to make your appointment so they can plan their day best. We will be waiving cancellation fees, as appropriate.

Practicing sanitation and safety is part of what we do daily, including:

  • Hand washing and gloves – Our technicians wear gloves during services and wash hands before and after attending each client, after touching surroundings, and after removal of gloves.
  • Tool Sterilization – We sterilize tools with Barbicide and hospital grade cleansers.
  • Commercial washing machines to sanitize all towels and linens in between services.
  • Hand sanitizer is available to guests and staff. We will encourage guests to use the sanitizer at the front desk after entering.

  • Increased cleaning protocols and frequency to include doorknobs, countertops and polish bottles with antimicrobial cleaners.

We also understand that it can be frustrating if you receive a call from us to reschedule because one of our therapists is suddenly out sick. If this happens to you, we will do everything we can to get you rescheduled at a time that is convenient for you and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding during this time.
