JillLicensed Lead Esthetician
Jill is our Licensed Lead Esthetician that graduated from Ogle Hair, Skin and Nails at the top of her class. She is very passionate about skincare which came from dealing with her own skin issues. This experience gives her great insight and empathy for those struggling with their own skincare concerns. She loves to continually research new products, ingredients and cutting-edge modalities and how they work on the human body to heal and correct the skin. She strives to help her guests treat, relax, and heal by incorporating self-care into their busy schedules. Her goal is for her guests to leave happy and refreshed with a better knowledge of how to care for their skin. She develops a professional relationship with her guests on their skincare journey. A true role model for the rest of the team, she shares all of her knowledge and works to uplift the team and program. When not working or researching she loves to travel, attend live concerts and spend time with close friends and family.
KimLicensed Senior Esthetician
As a well motivated Esthetician and Massage Therapist, she feels blessed to have the pleasure of making people feel beautiful, confident and relaxed from the inside out. She is a native of the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. She moved to Texas to further her education and career in this amazing industry we call Beauty Therapy that she is truly so passionate about. She was eager to complete her International CIDESCO course with the premier Institute of Cosmetology, Esthetics and Massage. She is proud to be a CIDESCO diplomat and share her knowledge, skills and techniques with the people who appreciate what Estheticians do. She believes in making her guests feel like a brand new person when they walk out of Sanctuary Spa. As our Senior Esthetician, Kim's passion for skin, beauty and body care combine with her dedication, loyalty and kindness to help uplift the team.
TinaLicensed Lead Massage Therapist
Tina is our Licensed Lead Massage Therapist. Most recently from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she is happy to call Houston her home since 2018. She is skilled in several modalities of massage which include hands on techniques that relieve tension, reduce stress, relieve anxiety, improve sleep, reduce pain, and promote relaxation throughout the entire body. She is a 2007 graduate of the Aveda Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana where she studied Esthiology and also a 2016 graduate of Medical Training College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she studied Massage Therapy. She has over 10 years experience in the Spa industry and is excited to focus on Massage at Sanctuary Spa. As a mother of four adult children, her life has been centered around the nurture, care, and healing of others. She takes this nurturing into every session to care for and heal her guests as well as to uplift the massage team.
RudyLicensed Senior Massage Therapist
Rudy Medina has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 10 years. He received his training at Memorial Hermann Massage & Spa Therapy School. In 2010 he acquired his license to teach Massage Therapy and presently teaches at the first internationally accredited CIDESCO School in the United States. His passion of the massage and spa profession has led him to continuously learn and adapt new techniques and services to enhance mind, body and spirit. Whether its pain or stress that has brought you into the spa, Rudy tailors your visit to best accommodate your needs. As Senior Massage Therapist for Sanctuary Spa, he is an amazing role model for the team. He enjoys coaching and supporting his fellow massage therapists. He is excited to work with them and continue to uplift the massage program overall.
Tamara, a Licensed Esthetician, is a graduate of the Esthetics program at Ogle School of Hair, Skin and Nails. She was born in Corpus Christi but identifies as a proud Houstonian who has spent most of her life living here in Houston. Her passion for skincare and the science behind it began with an interest in makeup and how its use can affect a person both emotionally and physically. Combine that with an unending desire to help others, led her to pursue a career as an Esthetician. She appreciates the diversity of each of her guest's skincare needs and loves helping develop a unique skincare program to keep them looking and feeling their absolute best. She is passionate about everything she does in both her professional and personal life. She is eager to learn more each day. When not at the spa, Tamara enjoys spending time with her husband Brian, and three children Justis, David, and Keira.
ErnestoLicensed Massage Therapist
Ernesto completed his initial training in massage at the Phoenix School of Massage in 2002 with an emphasis on holistic healing. He has also taken seminars in Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques with Teri Dalton, has completed training in Thai Massage, Ashiatsu and is attuned to Reiki I / II. Ernesto continues to study additional techniques and modalities. His massages are active and intense. He specializes in fixing shoulders, hips, and can open the body. When you leave you will be relaxed and ready to face the world.
JennyLicensed Massage Therapist
Jenny is a massage therapist whose mission is to help others achieve lasting health, healing and wholeness. She is also studying to become a registered dietitian. Following a career in communications, Jenny transitioned into the fields of health and wellness to follow her passion: Empowering others to establish and nurture a healthy relationship with their bodies. She became a massage therapist because she believes massage can play a transformative role in one's physical, spiritual and mental health. An avid runner, Jenny has completed 9 marathons and 20 half-marathons in the U.S. As an athlete who deeply understands injury prevention and recovery, she loves working with those who want to experience the ease of an energetic and pain-free body. Jenny enjoys incorporating myofascial release, reflexology and acupressure in massage therapy — but her favorite way to help is neck, shoulder and back massage. In every session, Jenny's intent is to fuse the comfort-driven spa experience with muscle-specific techniques that bring about body alignment, relaxation and restoration.
Annie is a native Houstonian, who pours her heart into her clients. In 2011, she graduated from The Aveda Institute with her esthetic license and a passion for the industry. Returning to school, in 2013, Annie attended Avalon School of Massage and was previously a licensed massage therapist. Annie is skilled in advanced facials, facial massage, all body waxing, body treatments, and several modalities of massage. She is extremely passionate about holistic practices and products. Her journey has been influenced by some amazing pioneers in skincare, including Brea Gratia and Kim Chang. Her journey at Sanctuary Spa began in 2013; and has been truly transforming for her. A few brief absences included a move to Wyoming in 2014, and the life changing birth of her precious daughter in 2017. Her love for Sanctuary Spa has never faded! She cares deeply about her clients and their entire experience. When Annie isn't at the spa; you can find her living her life to the fullest with her family.
Karen is one of our licensed esthetician's who was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. She moved to the United States over 25 years ago. Karen was inspired into esthetics and skin care from an early age when she had an opportunity to travel to Bucharest, Romania and visited the legendary Dr. Ana Aslan Institute, the first Institute of Geriatrics in Romania, where many youth treatments and skin care products were successfully developed and promoted worldwide. After raising three sons and having a successful career in sales and marketing, Karen decided it was time to pursue her dream. She went back to school and graduated from The Institute of Cosmetology, Esthetics and Massage, in Houston where she also received certifications in various advanced esthetic treatments. Karen is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew. She loves to share what she is constantly learning and enjoys guiding her guests about their home-care regimes, skincare products and new treatments. She enjoys the diversity of cultures and nationalities in Houston. During her free time she enjoys traveling with her husband to visit their sons and family who live far away. Karen is thrilled to be a new member of the team at Sanctuary Spa!
SamLicensed Massage therapist
Sam has been a sports and fitness enthusiast for years. His passion for health and wellness led him to a career in Massage Therapy after personally experiencing the benefits of massage. Sam graduated from Avalon School of Massage in 2015 and his passion for the field has grown over the last six years while working in various areas of the industry. Sam specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish and Sports Massage and he has a special interest in the health benefits of stretching. He is eager to learn all types of Massage Therapy and expand his knowledge and expertise in all modalities. Sam’s goal is to provide a healing and transformative experience for each of his guests and he is excited to be part of the team at Sanctuary Spa. When not providing exceptional massages, Sam enjoys boxing, yoga, bike riding, swimming and traveling.
Abby has been a CIDESCO qualified esthetician since 2007. While Abby counts Houston as her home in her heart, she has traveled the world Full. Originally from England, Abby worked her way up to spa manager at the age of 23 and has worked for 5 star resorts all over the world, including spa manager for Sir Richard Branson’s necker island and assistant spa director at sugar beach resort in St. Lucia. Abby returned to Houston 4 years ago to obtain her instructors license and has since been teaching a variety of advanced classes as well as helping new estheticians get started in the industry.
LindseyLicensed massage therapist
Lindsey is a dual licensed therapist who graduated from ICE and has a passion for helping people. Originally from a small town in Oklahoma, Lindsey moved to Houston 6 years ago. Lindsey focuses on Swedish massages and her main goal is to give her guest’s total relaxation and pain relief, if any. When not at the Spa, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, her dog and being around all of her plants!
Jinky is a licensed Cosmetologist/ Esthetician with 16 years professional experience. She invests 100 percent of her talent, creativity, skills and passion into each and every guest. For Jinky, that starts with a consultation. Listening intently to what her guests hope to achieve in skincare. Then making recommendations based on their lifestyle and skin conditions. She makes sure her guests have the tools, products, knowledge and techniques for a home care regimen. "What I love most about beauty industry is helping my guests to look and feel great about themselves," Jinky always says. "When you look good, you feel good. There's no better advertising than that!
EmilieLicensed massage therapist
Emilie has been a massage therapist for 15 years. A recent transplant to Houston, Emilie has spent most of her career in the spa industry and is excited to be a part of the team at Sanctuary Spa! Emilie loves helping guests relax and recharge, decrease muscle tension and improve range of motion. A Swedish/Deep Tissue fusion massage is her specialty, both effective at relieving muscle pain but also focused on relaxation. Emilie is also trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage

ReginaSenior Guest Care Associate
Regina, a freelance writer who has written for local and national publications, recently moved back to Houston from New York City. While in NYC, she worked for nonprofits and received an RYT-200 Yoga Certificate, focusing on vinyasa and pranayama (breath control) through meditation. She loves learning about holistic healing through various channels, in and out of the spa.
LiliGuest Care Associate
Lili is one of our lovely guest care associates. She is welcoming, ready to help and always has a smile on her face! She is a lover of books, dogs and desserts. As a certified yoga instructor, Lili enjoys sharing her knowledge and recommendations with our guests. When not at the spa, Lili is teaching yoga all around the Houston area. In her free time you can always find her wandering around a park or a museum.
JoannaGuest Care Associate
Joanna is one of the friendly faces that you get to see when you walk into Sanctuary Spa, originally from Wisconsin but has been living in Houston since 2019! She has a passion for caring for people and previously worked at two nursing homes where she was able to make strong connections with her residents. Joanna decided to start a new chapter at Sanctuary Spa and has since enjoyed learning about self-care and its benefits. In addition, Joanna enjoys trying out our products and services to give our guests her honest recommendations. When not at the Spa, Joanna enjoys spending time with her new puppy, Chloe!
BjornGuest Care Associate
Bjorn is a native Houstonian with a passion for foreign language and travel. After attending The University of Houston and studying French language and linguistics, he spent a year in France teaching English to French high school students. After returning to the U.S. he continued working in the language and translation field. In his free time, he enjoys his other hobbies which include visiting museums and watching classic and foreign films.
