CourtneyBrow Specialist, Licensed Lead Esthetician
Courtney is a licensed esthetician who found her love of spa culture and skin care while spending time in Indonesia. After moving to Houston in 2009, she graduated from the Aveda Institute of Esthetics and began working as an Esthetician. She excels at red carpet ready facials such as our Oxygen or Microcurrent Facials and waxing services. She decided to further her education with training in Microblading and then Nano Brow services. Courtney excelled in the precision hair strokes and shading necessary to create gorgeous, natural eyebrows!
AnnieLicensed Senior Esthetician and Massage Therapist
Annie is a native Houstonian, who pours her heart into her clients. In 2011, she graduated from The Aveda Institute with her esthetic license and a passion for the industry. Returning to school, in 2013, Annie attended Avalon School of Massage. Annie is skilled in advanced facials, facial massage, all body waxing, body treatments, and several modalities of massage. She is extremely passionate about holistic practices and products. Her journey has been influenced by some amazing pioneers in skincare, including Brea Gratia and Kim Chang. Her journey at Sanctuary Spa began in 2013; and has been truly transforming for her. A few brief absences included a move to Wyoming in 2014, and the life changing birth of her precious daughter in 2017. Her love for Sanctuary Spa has never faded! She cares deeply about her clients and their entire experience. When Annie isn't at the spa; you can find her living her life to the fullest with her family.
RudyLicensed Senior Massage Therapist
Rudy Medina has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 10 years. He received his training at Memorial Hermann Massage & Spa Therapy School. In 2010 he acquired his license to teach Massage Therapy and presently teaches at the first internationally accredited CIDESCO School in the United States. His passion of the massage and spa profession has led him to continuously learn and adapt new techniques and services to enhance mind, body and spirit. Whether its pain or stress that has brought you into the spa, Rudy tailors your visit to best accommodate your needs. In 2019, he accepted the role as Lead Massage Therapist for Sanctuary Spa. In this role, he enjoys coaching and supporting his fellow massage therapists. He is excited to work with them and continue to uplift the massage program overall.
KimLicensed Senior Esthetician and Massage Therapist
As a well motivated Esthetician and Licensed Massage Therapist, she feels blessed to have the pleasure of making people feel beautiful, confident and relaxed from the inside out. She is a native of the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. She moved to Texas to further her education and career in this amazing industry we call Beauty Therapy that she is truly so passionate about. She was eager to complete her International CIDESCO course with the premier Institute of Cosmetology, Esthetics and Massage. She is proud to be a CIDESCO diplomat and share her knowledge, skills and techniques with the people who appreciate what Estheticians do. She believes in making her clients feel like a brand new person when they walk out of Sanctuary Spa.
JessicaLicensed Esthetician and Brow Artist
Jessica is a licensed esthetician with over 10 years of experience. As a little girl, she spent many hours with her grandmother, who taught her the importance of a good skin care regimen. Jessica was trained by Anastasia Soare who designed “how to shape and maintain the perfect brow”. As manager of an Anastasia Brow Salon in Philadelphia, her salon was consistently recognized as one of the top three salons in the nation. She has also worked in Cosmetics for Saks Fifth Avenue and was instrumental in starting the Apothecary Shop where she developed more of a love for natural skin care products. Creating a peaceful and positive experience for her guests is most important to Jessica. She loves talking with them to determine their needs and ensures they feel pampered, beautiful and healthy. She is passionate in all that she does, and that passion is seen in her work and in the relationships that she builds. Jessica and her two children, Mila and Philip recently moved to Houston and are very excited to call this their new home. Her personal interests include cooking and leading a healthy lifestyle. She loves the outdoors and works out regularly. She also cares about animal welfare, has rescued many and is an adoption mom. She loves flowers, music and is actively involved in her children’s education.
Jill is a licensed esthetician that graduated from Ogle Hair, Skin and Nails at the top of her class. She is very passionate about skincare which came from dealing with her own skin issues. This gives her great insight and empathy for those struggling with their own skincare concerns. She loves to continually research new products, ingredients and cutting-edge modalities and how they work on the human body to heal and correct the skin. She strives to help her clients treat, relax, and heal by incorporating self-care into their busy schedules. Her goal is for her clients to leave happy and refreshed with a better knowledge of how to care for their skin. She develops a professional relationship with her clients on their skincare journey. When not working or researching she loves to travel, attend live concerts and spend time with close friends and family.
LaurenLicensed Massage Therapist
Lauren, a Native Houstonian, has over 15 years experience in massage therapy. She began her training in the highly rated William Institute in 2004. She is trained in Manual Lymph Drainage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Reflexology, Myofascial, and Aromatherapy. Growing up with parents that traveled internationally for business sparked Lauren's interest in cultures and customs around the world. In 2010, she completed a Double Degree in Sociology and Anthropology. Along the way she has participated in urban anthropology conferences to solve urban issue such as safe play space for children and child obesity issues and participated in archeological digs on southern plantations to help give more accurate and updated information for future school textbooks. Lauren enjoys working with her hands, whether it be massaging her clients, making silver and natural stone jewelry, or crocheting gifts for family, friends, or for donation.
MaureenLicensed Massage Therapist
Maureen is a native Houstonian and received her massage education at Texas Center for massage Therapy in 2015. She is also working on degree in advanced energy healing at the Barbara Brennan Institute of Healing. She became a therapist because of her passion for holistic wellness methods and her unique and profound experiences with the universal energy field. She loves creating a supportive nonjudgmental space for her guests to experience deep levels of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Her most rewarding sessions are when her guests experience an “SER” (somato-emotional release) and walk out with years worth of emotional baggage released from their shoulders. She is certified in over 9 different modalities so she can tailor her massage to her guests specific needs. When she is not massaging she is crafting, fermenting, or enjoying outside!
TinaLicensed Massage Therapist
Tina is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician who recently moved to the Houston area from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is skilled in several modalities of massage which include hands on techniques that relieve tension, reduce stress, relieve anxiety, improve sleep, reduce pain, and promote relaxation throughout the entire body. She is a 2007 graduate of the Aveda Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana where she studied Esthiology and also a 2016 graduate of Medical Training College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she studied Massage Therapy. She has 10 years experience in the Spa industry and is excited to focus on Massage at Sanctuary Spa. As a mother of four adult children, her life has been centered around the nurture, care, and healing of others. She takes this nurturing into every session to care for and heal her guests.
KristenLicensed Massage Therapist
Kristen is a Nationally Certified Licensed Massage Therapist from Long Island, New York. Her strong passion for massage therapy keeps her continuously educating herself in not only massage but the spa setting, too. She utilizes many therapeutic modalities and creates a customized massage for each individual depending on their needs. Appropriate pressure, intuition and fluidity will result in lower stress and tension in the body and mind. Incorporated in her work are techniques such as deep tissue, pre/post-natal, sports massage, stretching, energy work, and aromatherapy. It is truly a pleasure to see each guest leave feeling happy, healthy and loved! Kristen is pursuing her passion for helping children by working at THINK Neurology for Kids. She see guests at Sanctuary Spa every other week.

Kimberly Bady has a diverse background in holistic healing. For many years Kimberly has worked with women as a Women’s Healing Arts Educator and Leader, focusing on womb and yoni health. Kimberly is currently a student at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and has a passion to support others in making lifestyle changes to manage stress for healthier and more sustainable living.
Regina, a freelance writer who has written for local and national publications, recently moved back to Houston from New York City. While in NYC, she worked for nonprofits and received an RYT-200 Yoga Certificate, focusing on vinyasa and pranayama (breath control) through meditation. She loves learning about holistic healing through various channels, in and out of the spa.
Teresa loves the spa life, nurturing others, and meeting new people. At Sanctuary Spa, Teresa is our Guest Care Associate. She enjoys caring for the experience of every guest that visits and providing the Yoni Steam service. Teresa has fun hearing about everyone's day and building relationships with all that come to the spa.
Amanda Butler is a native Houstonian. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 2008 with a major in Human Development and Family Studies. In the past, Amanda has worked with teens in crisis pregnancies as well as adolescents and their families in recovery. Today, she is a new mom who has truly come to love and appreciate the spa life! Yoga, clean eating, and meditation are just a few of the things Amanda does to keep her zen. She is a stand for truth, connection, empowerment and fun!
