March is officially known as Women’s History Month — dedicated to recognizing the success of women and their incredible contributions to society. At Sanctuary Spa, we believe women should feel empowered to lift each other up and celebrate ever day, not just the big wins, but also the small acts of courage that help define and shape our gender. In honor of this and our 35th anniversary coming up, we’d also like to announce that 3% of our sales in the month of March will be donated to Dress for Success Houston.
The Chevron Houston Marathon is a big deal! Since 1972, this run has been inspiring Houstonians to take on new challenges and bring awareness to causes that matter to them. I admire all of the great athletes (33,000 of them!) that train for months leading up to the marathon to finish this great race.
This year, our very own Kim Bady has trained extensively to participate in the 2019 Chevron Houston Half Marathon. Not only is she running, but she’s running for a reason. The Run for a Reason Charity Program works with 64 nonprofit organizations. Last year, they raised over $1.8M! We are so proud of her. I sat down with Kim to ask her a few questions about her journey and understand which charity she is supporting.
Sanctuary Spa founder, Brea Gratia, was back in Houston last week to share her unique holistic approach to skin, body and hydrotherapy care with our team of estheticians and massage therapists.
Acting as a mentor and coach, Brea led our technicians through the journey of her remarkable 40 years in the spa industry and empowered them to create the most relaxing, beneficial spa experience imaginable.
The training began with a hands-on demonstration of Brea’s masterful facial techniques, treating our very own therapist, Ana, with a fabulous restorative facial.
